The Children's Museum Tucson is celebrating its love of books with its annual Love of Literacy festival.
There's going to be lots to do, and the best part about it is that it's free. Kids can make their own bookmarks, create a storybook, or pick up a free book from the Pima County Public Library's book bike.
Also, the library's "Reading to Dogs" program will be onsite, so children can share their favorite story with any furry pup they'd like to bring along.
Scheduled guests for Love of Literacy include:
- Bear Essential News
- Bookmans Entertainment Exchange
- Junior League of Tucson
- Kore Press
- League of Women Voters
- Literacy Connects
- Make Way for Books
- Parent Aid, Pima County Public Library
- University of Arizona Bookstore
- And many others...
The festival is from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. on Saturday, September 22 at the 200 S. 6th Ave location in downtown Tucson.
