A man who ran an illegal medical clinic in Tempe was sentenced to eight years behind bars.
Craig Allen Scherf, also known as “Dr. Craig,” was sentenced Friday to eight years behind bars and five years of probation for illegally running a botox and laser clinic from January 2015 to January 2017.
Scherf used another doctor’s identify to obtain medications and told victims that he was a licensed doctor. He performed multiple procedures like skin injections and laser hair removal treatments without a license.
It is believed that more than 30 people were targeted by Scherf. He is required to pay them all restitution.
