The University of Arizona is receiving $8 million from long-time UA supporters Cole and Jeannie Davis to help construct an indoor sports center.

The new sports center, which has a projected cost of $18 million, will be a climate-controlled facility, will also include a football practice field and a game-day hospitality area to enhance home game experiences for fans.

The new center will be called the Cole and Jeannie Davis Sports Center, named for the large contributions that the two have donated to UA facility projects, like the McKale Memorial Center, the Richard Jefferson Gymnasium,  basketball locker room renovations, the Cole and Jeannie Davis Strength and Conditioning Center inside the Richard Jefferson Gymnasium, and others.

Construction has begun on the Cole and Jeannie Davis Sports Center, located on the former site of Kindall-Sancet Stadium, and is expected to be completed in January.
