Now scammers are targeting churches.
Making them believe their utilities are in jeopardy and scaring them into paying fake bills.
But your church doesn't have to fall for it.
Here's how to protect yourself:
Don't panic. And don't allow yourself to be rushed into paying a bill. Your provider will send a written notice with your bill before disconnection.
If you get a call--hang up. Then call the number on your bill to verify what you owe.
And never, ever give out personal information over the phone.
