Intel is touting the upcoming Chandler plant as the "most advanced semiconductor factory in the world."
Plans for Intel's semiconductor plant, dubbed Fab 42, were announced Wednesday, with an estimated total investment of over $7 billion, according to an announcement made by President Trump.
More than 10,000 long-term jobs are expected to be created from Fab 42, which will produce microprocessors intended for data centers and smart devices.
The semiconductor plant is expected to be completed in between 2020 and 2021.
