TUCSON, Ariz. - The owners of a Tucson-based company have made it their mission to help businesses, churches, gyms, and even schools properly disinfect in the age of COVID-19.
“What our goal was is to provide a resource to our community," said Doug Airulla, the co-owner of GermFree.
Airulla said he and his partner started GermFree as a way to help business owners and others learn how to keep their establishments clean during the pandemic.
“What we realized is that a lot of business owners and home owners didn’t really understand what exactly that looked like in practice," he said.
Over the past few months, GermFree helped the Marana Unified School District analyze its buses for germs and disinfect them for use.
“We’re really about infection prevention," said Airulla.
Along with doing the disinfecting, Airulla said the company also focuses on what a company or establishment is currently doing in terms of cleanliness.
“We review what your current cleaning, disinfection processes are," said Airulla.
