Pinal County health officials will be beginning coronavirus vaccinations for group 1B soon, according to a message posted online Wednesday.

Officials say they are finishing up vaccinations for the 1A group and will be giving out more information for the next group, hopefully by the end of the day Wednesday.

The site says group 1B is for "Essential Workers & Infrastructure," (including Law Enforcement, Corrections Officers, Education Sector, Food & Agriculture, Utilities, and Transportation), but will also include those 75 and older.

"If you are 75 or older, we will post more information here by close of business today," the message states. "Due to the holiday week, some of your organizations may not be disseminating your information until Monday, January 4th."

After 1B is vaccinated, group 1C will have the next priority. Group 1C includes adults with high risk medical conditions and adults 65 years and older.
