TUCSON, Ariz. - Throughout the years, Chief Scott Robb, who works with the Golder Ranch Fire District, has written and sang songs to help children learn about water and fire safety, but now he's taking on something new.

Chief Robb decided to get back to music and write a song that would not only help lift the spirits of people amid the coronavirus pandemic, but could also raise money for different organizations.

“We’re getting creative with different avenues on getting music out and raising some cash," said Chief Robb.

He said he got together a group of musicians and they all collectively came up with a song called "Thank God for the lake".

Chief Robb said he and the musicians he's working with plan to release more songs.

"Well I have all these songs now, what can we do to help out," he said.

Chief Robb said the first institution the group plans to help is a drowning prevention organization.
