Authorities in Casa Grande are searching for two of three immigration inmates who escaped from a prison transport vehicle Tuesday night.
A spokesperson for Casa Grande Police said it is assisting Border Patrol is searching for the inmates. The search is happening near State Route 287 and Trekell.
At one point, police were looking for three inmates.
At 12:40 a.m., Casa Grand police said in a tweet that one inmate was in custody. The other two were still missing.

Border Patrol said the three inmates were being transported from Ajo to the Casa Grande Border Patrol station. While the bus was stopped at a traffic light, the inmates escaped through the ceiling hatch of the bus.
Police have asked people to avoid the area and to stay inside.
