Arizona breezes past Hawai'i 47-28

Arizona football improves to 2-1 after a 47-28 win over Hawai'i on Saturday night at Arizona Stadium.

Brandon Dawkins made his second career start as Anu Solomon sat on the sidelines for the second consecutive week with a knee injury.  Dawkins, a redshirt sophomore, had four touchdowns and 353 total yards.  J.J. Taylor also had a big night.  The freshman rushed for 161 yards and one touchdown.   

Star running back Nick Wilson suffered an injury in the first quarter and did not return to the game.  Rich Rodriguez said after the game that he did not yet know the severity of Wilson's injury and time table for his return.

 

The Wildcats open Pac-12 play next Saturday against Washington, the 8th ranked team in the country with a 3-0 record.
