APS imploded the remains of what was the original Phoenix Power Plant Saturday morning.
The decommissioned plant will be cleared to make way for a future in cleaner energy.
The two stacks and water tower that remained were nearly 80 years old and currently sit on the site of the West Phoenix Power Plant, which created around 560 percent more electricity than the old plant.
