A 4.8 magnitude earthquake in Baja California had a wide enough range to potentially be felt in Yuma and other southwestern parts of our state.
The earthquake hit at 1:18 p.m. Monday, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

A second 3.3 magnitude earthquake also hit at 1:25 p.m. south of Mexicali. It's unclear if that was felt in Arizona as well.
No injuries have been reported from the earthquake.
