Ever wonder what it’s like to speed around a winding racetrack at 200 MPH in a 130-degree car? Now consider doing that while managing a chronic health condition like diabetes.

NASCAR Xfinity Series driver Ryan Reed and racecar driver Conor Daly discuss balancing their diabetes management and racing careers as they prepare for the upcoming NASCAR Xfinity Series race at Wisconsin’s Road America on Saturday, August 25. Conor will join Ryan and the Roush Fenway Racing team for this race and like Ryan, will be sponsored by Lilly Diabetes. Conor will be the first and only person with type 1 diabetes to race in both NASCAR and IndyCar in the same year.

As part of this sponsorship, Lilly Diabetes and NASCAR are launching a five-part YouTube video series, documenting Conor’s “Road to Road America” and offering an inside look at Conor’s experience as he prepares for his first NASCAR race. Ryan and Conor also share details on Lilly’s Drive Down A1C initiative, which inspires fans impacted by diabetes to better manage the condition. The series will live on NASCAR’s YouTube channel and launches on Wednesday, August 15.
