Meet Gretchen Lokey, this week's Ben's Bells Bellee! Sharon Olbert nominated Gretchen for her work with asylum seekers. Gretchen runs the Inn project, a program for sheltering asylum seekers who are brought to the shelter by Border Patrol. They are fleeing violence and are in transit to relatives or sponsors in other states. They are temporarily housed and fed and transported to the bus depot by volunteers. Gretchen provides a respectful and safe environment for these often frightened refugees.
