Hundreds of people gathered Sunday morning at Armory Park for the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk.

Everyone who wore pink had been impacted by breast cancer either personally or through family and friends battling the disease.

According to the National Breast Cancer Foundation, one in eight women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime.

Andrea Mount attended the walk alongside her husband and daughter. She was diagnosed in 2009 after detecting it herself at home. She say annual mammograms and early detection is crucial to beating the disease.

"When it affects you it affects more than just you, it affects your whole family."

The walk helped to raise awareness as well as money for other women fighting against breast cancer.
