TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - Operation Chill Out kicks off today, June 1 and assistance from the community is needed to help the homeless beat the heat.
The Salvation Army has once again teamed up with Naughton's Plumbing, Heating and Cooling.
From June to August, the hottest months in Tucson, donations are needed for life-saving community outreach.
Hospitality House staff and volunteers go to local parks to hand out heat survival supplies to help ease the discomfort of the homeless.
Donations can be dropped off at any Naughton’s Plumbing locations as well as the Hospitality House shelter located at 1002 N. Main Avenue.
If you would like to help, you can donate:
- Water
- Hats
- Lip balm
- Sunscreen
- Umbrellas
- Light colored t-shirts
