Old Tucson helps end summer by celebrating canines in Pima County

If you are looking for a family-fun event to help say goodbye to Summer, Old Tucson is hosting its 2nd annual Dog Days of Summer canine festival.

Families and their four-legged friends are encouraged to head out this Labor Day weekend, to participate in several events including diving competitions, pet adoptions, doggie costume contests and more.

The event will be held on Saturday and Sunday, September 2nd and 3rd, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m..  The event is free for kids ages 11 and under and dogs of all ages. Adult admission is $17.95 per person, plus tax. According to Old Tucson's website, $1 from each regular adult paid admission over the weekend will be donated to the Pima Animal Care Center.

Guests can even sign up their dogs for the diving competition in advance, or on Saturday and Sunday starting at 9 a.m..
