The lead singer of Linkin Park has died, according to a report from TMZ.
TMZis reporting that Chester Bennington died at his home in Los Angeles County, California.
According to the report, the singer took his own life.
Bennington was born in Phoenix in 1976, and went to Greenway High School. Until moving to Los Angeles in recent years, he lived in Gilbert.
The band was currently on their “One More Light” world tour, which was scheduled to stop at Xfinity Center on July 27 in Mansfield, Massachusetts, according to an online schedule. The band was scheduled to visit Talking Stick Resort Arena in Phoenix on August 30.
No official statements have been posted yet to the band’s social media accounts.
