The owner of Zia Records Exchange passed away over the weekend.
Brian Faber, owner and vice president of Zia Records, died Sunday after suffering a brain hemorrhage and stroke, according to a post on the company's Facebook page.
The post said Faber passed peacefully away at his home surrounded by family and friends. He was 45. He would have celebrated his 46th birthday on Friday, Sept. 9.
"Brian was full of boundless energy and he worked hard to continue the long legacy of Zia Records. With Brian at the helm, Zia Records expanded and grew. His enthusiasm, wit, love of people, and vision helped fuel our company. He believed in people. He inspired us to believe in ourselves," according to the post.
Memorial service information was not immediately available. According to the Facebook post, that information would be posted to their Facebook page.
The post had been shared nearly 300 times, as of this writing, and had hundreds of comments and tributes from loyal fans.
"My former 19 yr old broke punk self, as well as my current adult self cannot begin to express my gratitude to this man and his company. Music is life and you gave it breath, one comment read.
"When I was working at the warehouse you could practically feel that man's mile wide smile coming down the block. RIP Brian," another person wrote.
Zia Records opened in 1980, according to their website. The store sells a variety of new and used items, such as records, CDs, movies and books. They have locations in Phoenix, Tucson and Las Vegas.
