TUCSON, Ariz. - Cinemark says it hopes to reopen Tucson theaters in mid-summer 2020.
According to a theater spokesman, reopening will be determined by health and safety regulations, as well as studio releases.
The Christopher Nolan-directed "Tenet" -- due out July 17 -- is currently the soonest scheduled release by a major studio.
Reduced operating hours, social distancing rules and consumer comfort level will all factor into the decision.
Cinemark operates first-run theaters at El Con, Park Place, Oro Valley Marketplace and Tucson Marketplace.
