MESA, Ariz. (KNXV) - The Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office is looking for at least one person responsible for shooting three Salt River Horses on October 21. One horse was found shot and killed in the area nearby shortly after a witness reported the incident.
The other two horses reportedly shot have not been found yet in the area.
MCSO says the suspect was believed to be wearing black shorts and a dark green shirt in an area called Pirates Island.
Two other people were reportedly in the area of the shooting of the time, but MCSO has not said if they are also suspects.
A search was done in the area for several hours but no suspect matching the description of the shooter was found.
Anyone with any information is asked to call the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office.
