The Little League Rescue and Sanctuary in Sierra Vista has received some paralyzed dogs this week.

Five puppies with a long life ahead of them, but a long road to recovery.

Volunteers Little League Rescue and Sanctuary want to give these dogs another chance at life but need the help of the community.

Two of the dog's are paralyzed from the waist down, and another puppy had its limbs chopped off.

The worse case was a puppy brought in with their bones coming out of their body and their nose cut off.

"They were finding these dogs in the streets paralyzed with limbs hanging off," said Sandy McPadden a volunteer with Little League Rescue.

The dogs were brought to Sierra Vista from Mexico.

Often times, total strangers pick up stray dogs and care for them because animal shelters in Mexico can't provide the services like those across the border.

The next step for the dogs is to provide them with wheelchairs and prosthetic legs so they can live healthy lives.
