The historic Mission of the Sun chapel at DeGrazia Studio caught fire Monday.
According to Rural Metro Fire, the flames caused extensive damage but did not spread to the art gallery.
The chapel has been open since the early 50's and is open to visitors 365 days a year.
The cause is currently under investigation.
