Tucson Fire reported Thursday afternoon that an area of the brush fire had reignited.
Crews managed to contain the flare-up, preventing the flames from spreading, TFD said.
TFD's Wildland Team continues to address the remaining hot spots.
UPDATE (10:00 a.m., April 16):
Tucson Police say 39-year-old Johnathan Stone was taken into custody for burning of wildlands after officers investigated the fire. They say he’s believed to have been living or camping in a nearby desert area.
UPDATE (4 p.m., April 15):
Tucson Fire said in a social media post that the brush fire has been contained. Crews will continue to monitor the area overnight to ensure it remains secure, the post said.
UPDATE (10:28 a.m.):
According to a social media post from Tucson Fire Department, the brush fire continues to smolder this morning.
New Wildland crews are rotating in as previous crews worked through the night, the post said.
Incoming crews will focus on "interior hot spots and heavy saw work" to secure the burn area.
Aerial mapping is underway to assist with ongoing efforts. The fire has burned an estimated 30-40 acres.
Residents can expect to see and smell smoke throughout the day, the post said.

Tucson Fire says a large brush fire in the Agua Caliente Wash Tuesday afternoon is now contained.
Firefighters say they were called to the area north of Speedway, between Harrison and Houghton around 4 p.m.. Tucson Fire's Wildland Crew was also called in to help as the wash was difficult to get to with large equipment.
The fire was able to be contained and firefighters are now in the mop up stage. Those in the area can expect lingering smoke.
Ahead of all Tucson Fire crews arriving on scene, KGUN 9 was able to locate the fire and first noted it was in the Tanque Verde Wash. Tucson Fire clarified saying it was in the Agua Caliente Wash.

Tucson fire crews were dispatched to a large brush fire at 1624 North Harrison at 4:12 this afternoon.
Crews reported a significant vegetation fire in the Agua Caliente Wash, on the west side of the driving range at La Mariposa.
