Tucson Police officers are investigating a break-in at Pueblo High School.

Damage includes paint and chemicals thrown around in science labs, paper, and trash left in rooms and blinds and windows broken.

Stefanie Boe, a spokeswoman for TUSD said crews have been working around the clock since Wednesday to clean up the damage.

Initially, it appeared that 20 classrooms would be unusable on Monday but thanks to the hard work of the crews only 8 classrooms will be closed.

Work will continue on campus throughout the coming week.

TUSD says the damage will cost between $600,000 and $1.0 million to repair.

Those with information should call 911 or 88-CRIME or School Safety at 584-7676.

TUSD would like to remind the public that school resumes on Monday and school zones will be back in place throughout the city.
