TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - Orlando Bradford, an Arizona football running back, has been arrested and released from the team.

Police responded to a domestic violence call in the 500 block of East 9th St. on Wednesday morning, said Sgt. Pete Dugan with the Tucson Police Department.

The female victim, in a romantic relationship with Bradford, told police she had been assaulted multiple times in the 2900 block of E. Presidio St.

The victim has obvious signs of trauma when being interviewed by the domestic violence unit, said Dugan. They gathered enough information to establish a probable cause.

Bradford has been arrested on seven felony counts. Three counts of domestic violence kidnapping and four counts of domestic violence aggravated assault.

Arizona Athletics released the following statement:

Earlier today, we were made aware that Orlando Bradford had been arrested. As a result of his actions, he has been dismissed from the program.

Bradford appeared in video court this evening. He is held on $20,000 secured bond.

The victim spoke and said, "I'm scared of what he would do if he is released."

Bradford's preliminary hearing is set for September 26.
