Tucsonans deal with the snow during their errands

TUCSON, Ariz. — People went about their normal, errand filled days regardless of the snow Friday.

For most people, seeing the snow in Tucson was unusual but really exciting.

"The snow is crazy," Tyler Smith, Tucson Resident said. "I've lived here for like 15 years, and I've never seen it like this. I've seen a couples where there is snow, but it's never stuck on the ground.. At all, ever. And I saw my yard this morning covered in snow. It was crazy."

Tyler may live here year-round, but some people are only here for the winter months.

"We come down every... Well the last few years to stay in this nice warm weather of Tucson," Snowbird, Kathy Fust said.

Kathy said her and her husband come down to Tucson to try and avoid the snow.

"We woke up and we thought we were home," Fust said.

Once she saw the snow, Kathy checked her weather app to see what the weather was like back home. She was shocked to learn it was warmer there than here.

"It's actually sunny and 40 degrees at home, in Montana. It's actually a little warmer there then it is here," Fust said.

This may not be an average day for people in Tucson, but the cold doesn't seem to bother anyone from getting out of the house and going about their normal activties.

For Tyler, he doesn't want the snow to stop.

"Keep it coming! I want to see it for a couple more days. I love it!" Smith said.
