How to spot the International Space Station

There will be multiple opportunities to spot the International Space Station this week, but only two nights will allow a full 4 minutes. 

Thursday, June 7th, at 8:43 PM, the ISS will appear to the north-northwest above the horizon, visible for 4 minutes before disappearing to the east-northeast. The same will happen again on Friday, June 9th at 7:51 PM, appearing to the north for 4 minutes. 

Other ISS spotting opportunities this week include: 

  • Tonight: 9:43 PM, appearing to the north for 1 minute. 
  • Tuesday: 8:52 PM, appearing to the north for 2 minutes. 
  • Wednesday: 9:36 PM, appearing to the north-northwest for 1 minute. 
  • Saturday: 8:36 PM, appearing to the north-northwest for 3 minutes.
