A low pressure system will pass to our north Friday and Saturday. This will bring southwest winds between 20 and 30 MPH, gusting in the 40s.
A Fire Weather Watch is in effect for all of southeast Arizona from noon to 8 PM for both days. The strongest winds will likely be on Friday. A Fire Weather Watch means critical fire weather conditions are forecast to occur. Once these conditions occur or are guaranteed to happen, the watch will likely become a Red Flag Warning.
Less wind, but still breezy, for Mother's Day. Plus cooler temps. Highs will drop to the low to mid 90s for the weekend and first half of next week.
