A Red Flag Warning is in effect Friday from 10 AM to 8 PM for all of southeast Arizona. Southwest winds will pick up between 20 and 30 MPH, with wind gusts up to 45 MPH. These strong winds combined with low humidity values will bring a high fire danger.
A Wind Advisory is also in effect Friday from 1 PM to 8 PM, mainly for the higher elevations, where wind gusts could peak at 50 MPH.
And a Fire Weather Watch is still in effect for Saturday from noon to 8 PM. This might get upgraded to a Red Flag Warning.
During this time, blowing dust will be a concern, especially along I-10 between Tucson and Phoenix, and in Cochise county near the New Mexico border.
