The Arizona Department of Environmental Quality, in Phoenix, has issued a high pollution advisory for Pima county, including Tucson for Tuesday.

The forecasted weather conditions combined with current ozone levels, will cause elevated air contaminants that will pose health risks for up to 8 hours, as air quality deteriorates.

Those most affected by the concentrated ozone includes children and those with respiratory issues. It’s highly encouraged to limit outdoor activity during this time.

Folks are also urged to car pool, telecommute or use mass transit to reduce gasoline-powered equipment.
