Summer is strawberry season, whether we’re talking rosé strawberries or the simple classic berry. And, with this delicious recipe for Strawberry White Chocolate Gooey Bars, you can celebrate the sweetness of these fresh berries and create a memorable dessert at the same time.

Over at Averie Cooks, Averie makes these bars with nothing more than five ingredients. Her secret hack is to use a box of strawberry cake mix, like this one from Duncan Hines or this one from Betty Crocker. The cake batter is used as the base layer for the gooey bars, and then topped with white chocolate chips and condensed milk. The rest of the cake batter is then pressed down onto the mixture. Easy, tasty and so summery!

You can top it with freshly sliced strawberries for an extra-pretty plating.

Or try this recipe for Strawberry Brownies from Yellow Bliss Road. She also uses a strawberry cake mix, but instead of condensed milk, she uses cream cheese and blends it in with a stand mixer. You can use white or milk chocolate chips in these brownies, or even freeze-dried strawberries. But don’t use fresh ones IN the batter. It will make them too wet and prevent the brownies from baking properly. Instead, thinly slice the fresh strawberries as they do over at Yellow Bliss Road and sprinkle them on top of the finished product.

Looking for something a bit healthier to help you celebrate strawberry season? Well-Plated has you covered with their healthy Strawberry Oatmeal Bars. Erin prepares this fresh, fruit-forward dessert with whole grains, rolled oats, strawberries and lemon juice. The bars are topped with a vanilla glaze with just the perfect hint of sweetness, and here’s the best part — each bar is only 100 calories! And since they only have 3 grams of sugar, you don’t have to feel guilty sharing these with the kiddos or bringing them to summer parties.

These can also be made dairy-free if you swap coconut oil for the butter and use non-dairy milk for the vanilla glaze. What a healthy and mindful way to celebrate strawberry season!
