In 2018, the employment-population ratio for those without a disability was 65.9 percent vs.19.1 percent for those with a disability. And across all major race and ethnicity groups, people with a disability are much less likely to be employed than people without a disability.
The good news is that the overall low unemployment rate and the advances in accommodations technology have had a positive impact on bringing down the unemployment rate for those with disabilities.
