#15 Arizona baseball walks it off vs. Oklahoma St.

Posted

Cal Stevenson doubled to deep centerfield with two outs to score pinch-runner Matt Fraizer and give the Arizona Wildcats a 10-9 walk-off win over Oklahoma State in the team’s second game of the Frisco Classic.

The win marks Arizona’s best start to a season since the 1999 squad started 13-0 to open their campaign.

Oklahoma State used the long ball, four of them,  to score nine straight runs in the game to take a 9-6 lead heading into the bottom of the eighth, before Arizona’s magic struck.

Ming earned the win, improving to 3-0 on the season. Voss, Stevenson and Quintana all had three-hit games in the win. Quintana drove in three and is now batting .514 through 10 games of his freshman campaign. Morimoto and Oliva each had two hits for the Cats in the victory.

Arizona will play Nebraska at noon in the Frisco Classic finale.
