TUCSON, Ariz. — Two Tucson high school freshman took days to draw a very special piece of sidewalk art in her neighborhood near Carindal and Drexel.

She says it's a way to show appreciation for all the essential workers who are risking their lives to keep our society going during this difficult time.

"We actually did it for all the essential workers that are working during COVID-19, so we just wanted to say thank you and appreciate them," Marina Martinez said.

"To stay safe and to thank everybody that's been helping around us, because we all couldn't get through it without them," Aracely Portillo added.
