Large Number of Potholes on Eastside

Over 200 repaired on Marsh Station Road

Imagine a stretch of road where the person reporting it to us actually counted the number of potholes. 212 of them. The average size was 12 inches wide by 4 inches deep, on an eight-mile stretch of Marsh Station Road in eastern Pima County. They were counted by viewer Wade, who also pointed out that buses travel the road twice daily.

When we submitted a request to Pima County DOT for repair,  Wade emailed us a response that said Pima County DOT maintenance workers were out there within 48 hours performing repairs on the road. Marsh Station Road, while still a rough ride, is clear of potholes.

We are, however, still waiting for Pima County DOT to repair Fountains Ave, one of our earlier submissions from viewer Ann, who stated that it was dangerous to some of the residents who live nearby, to walk there. There is a repair order issued for the work, but no timetable to do it.

Finally, viewer Martha sent us some pictures of potholes on Bilby between 6th & 12th Avenues and on Calle Evelina near Missiondale. We've requested help from the City of Tucson's Quick Response Repair Crew and may see repairs on these potholes later this week.
