PHOENIX (AP) — Maricopa County Sheriff's officials say a man has been arrested in connection with a 2016 murder case.

They say 60-year-old Tony Tyrone Reed was taken into custody after his genetic profile allegedly matched DNA recovered from a homicide victim.

Sheriff's officials say a woman's body was found in November 2016 that was later identified as 39-year-old Sabrina Rollins, who had been released from jail days earlier.

The county Office of the Medical Examiner determined Rollins died from gunshot wounds and submitted a sexual assault kit to the Arizona Department of Public Safety's crime laboratory.

Sheriff's officials say the laboratory provided the results of the familial DNA analysis last November and that led detectives to Reed.
