FLORENCE, Ariz. (AP) — A woman accused of killing her boyfriend in an Apache Junction parking lot last year has accepted a plea arrangement.
Prosecutors say 23-year-old Dalia Villalobos originally was charged with second-degree murder and now has agreed to plead guilty to manslaughter.
The Casa Grande Dispatch reports that Villalobos could be facing up to a 12{-year prison term when she is sentenced on March 2 in Pinal County Superior Court.
Villalobos was arrested last Feb. 20 after she allegedly struck her boyfriend, Oscar Coronado, with her vehicle outside a Walmart store in Apache Junction.
Coronado died later that evening at a hospital.
