Authorities say four people, including a suspect, are dead after an officer-involved shooting in west Phoenix Wednesday afternoon.

Around 4 p.m., officers responded to a home near 35th Avenue and Thomas Road after a woman called the police claiming her husband was firing a rifle.

While officers were tactically setting up at the scene, a man matching the suspect's description drove by and stopped in the street. Police heard a gunshot come from his vehicle and they began to yell at him to disarm himself.

The suspect fired another shot, so an officer fired one shot back, disabling the suspect. A police K-9 assisted police with removing the suspect from his vehicle, officials said.

He was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead. He has since been identified as 39-year-old Edward Hallinan.

A police helicopter helping on scene located three victims with gunshot wounds in a residential yard in the area. Phoenix Fire pronounced all three victims dead at the scene.

Police have identified the deceased victims as 21-year-old Francisco Javier Galindo, 26-year-old Vidal Hernandez-Gutierrez, and 50-year-old Manuel Francisco Rodriguez Jimenez.

Phoenix police confirmed to ABC15 that the victims who were killed were the suspect's neighbors.

Police listed six other people in the incident as victims, ranging from one to 38 years old. None of those victims were injured. The relationship of all those involved is not yet known and no motive has been mentioned.

The officer involved in the shooting is a 41-year-old man with 17 years of service.

Air15 video over the scene showed multiple marked vehicles stationed around the west Phoenix neighborhood Wednesday evening. Two SWAT vehicles could also be seen surrounding the suspect's white pickup truck.
