Local filmmaker Peter Leon will premiere his latest movie at the loft Wednesday night.
"Zero Point Theory" is a period piece set in the 1920's with a sci-fi twist, and Peter Leon, who directed the film, said he worked with local car clubs and the tight knit Tucson film community to pull the film together on a small budget.
"It's kind of difficult when you're a local independent filmmaker when you're on a small budget, said Leon. "So normally what they resort to doing is making comedies or relationship movies, something that doesn't take a lot of production value. But, I kind of think that's boring, so I'm always trying to think of what would be hard to do."
Leon's film "Zero Point Theory" premieres at The Loft at 8 p.m. You can buy tickets at the door.
