Interstate 10 reopens after pedestrian fatality

PHOENIX (AP) - Westbound Interstate 10 in west Phoenix has reopened after being closed during the Wednesday morning commute because of a fatal crash involving a pedestrian.

The state Department of Public Safety said a person running across the freeway was struck by a vehicle and that the vehicle's driver remained at the scene.

The pedestrian's identity wasn't released immediately and no additional information is available about circumstances of the crash.
