A two time Guinness World Record holder attempting to break another one was in Tucson Monday.

Kurt Osburn, 49, is wheeling his bicycle across the country. He started at the Santa Monica Pier and plans to finish in 45 days, ending in Cocoa Beach, Florida.

Osburn has been training for the last two years, riding 50 miles a day.

He says he has been inspired to support children with physical difficulties after his brother became a double-amputee. Osburn says his goal is to raise funds for charity groups who support children who may suffer from the same disability as his brother.

In 1998, Osburn wheelied for 11 hours non-stop inside the Anaheim Convention Center in Orange County, California, breaking his first record.

In 1999, he broke his second world record, wheeling from Hollywood, California to Orlando, Florida in 75 days. Since Osburn wants to break that record by 29 days, he will have to ride 60 to 70 miles a day.

Osburn has a custom-built wind deflector trailer that has been outfitted with cameras, speakers and lights. It can withstand intense wind and rain conditions.
