TUCSON, Ariz. (KGUN) — Mabel Street has seen significant sewer line replacement work over the last several months. The work area is between 6th Ave and 13th Ave.
The project was to be finished by mid-February, but has been delayed by surprise underground utility work and significant caliche removal.
Work to finish the project has been pushed to mid-March. The contractor told me that he'd never seen caliche of that hardness in this project before and it took much longer than expected to work through it.
Mentioned yesterday, but worth a reminder: Swan Road is being repaved beginning today. Work hours are 6 a.m. until 4 p.m. daily. The work area is between Skyline and Sunrise.
