TUCSON, Ariz. — The City of Tucson is working to beautify the median islands on Tucson Boulevard between Valencia Road and Drexel Road.
The improvements are taking place in three segments:
- February 11 through February 22 - Tucson Boulevard from Valencia Road to Ginter Road.
- February 25 through March 8 - Tucson Boulevard from Ginter Road to Bilby Road.
- March 11 through March 29 - Tucson Boulevard from Bilby Road to Drexel Road.
Work will take place Monday through Friday, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
If you are driving in the area, drivers need to obey all traffic signs and watch for construction equipment and workers.
According to the city, Brightview Landscapes, under contract with the City of Tucson Department of Transportation, will perform the work.
Crews will replace irrigation and decorative rocks in the medians.
