A distressed woman was rescued by an off-duty Border Patrol agent in the Three Points area Sunday.

The agent "conducted an airway clearing procedure" and applied ice and cold towels to her body to "lower her body temperature," according to a Customs and Border Patrol media release.

It wasn't immediately clear why she was overheated.

The agent called 911 and the woman was taken to the hospital.
