Recordings of interviews that witnesses gave Sheriff's deputies on the night of the Firebirds shooting a La Encantada have been released.

One witness was in the bathroom where former Tucson Fire Captain Frederick Bair took his ex-wife Mary Jo Bair after he shot her acquaintance Eliot Cobb at the bar.

The witness who was in the bathroom is a hostess at Firebirds.

She says she heard the shot that happened at the bar but thought it was plates falling and did not realize it was a shot until later.

She told authorities that she heard a man and a woman enter the restroom. She said it sounded like they were arguing.

The hostess said she heard three shots but the woman was still talking so she knew Mary Jo was still alive.

"And then the last one he was like 'Goodbye Mary Jo' like basically saying he was going to kill himself and she was like 'don't kill yourself' and then he said 'Goodbye Mary Jo' and there was a shot and that's when I decided to run out," she said.

After the first three shots, the hostess put her feet up on the toilet so the two wouldn't know she was there.

Dozens of witnesses called 911 to report the shooting.
