Where to get free meals for Arizona kids this summer

Free breakfast and lunch is now available for kids this summer in Arizona.

Summer Lunch Buddies is a federally funded program through the U.S. Department of Agriculture. You have to be 18 years or younger, and there is no fee or registration required.

"A lot of times families won't necessarily think they can go to their local school,  church or community center and get food," said Charles Tack with the Arizona Department of Education.

Tack says the department is in charge of administering the program, and they serve thousands of meals across the state each day. The department wants to spread the word so they can feed more children.
