TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - There are currently 238 F-rated businesses in southern Arizona according to the Better Business Bureau.
The BBB in Tucson has reports on more than 33,000 businesses in southern Arizona. BBB Southern Arizona spokesperson, Ryan Foster, says if a company has an "F" rating then that is a sign it is not operating the right way. He says, they give the "F" rating when the BBB gets a string of similar complaints against a company. He added, it is difficult to get the failing grade.
"You have to be a pretty bad business owner to get an F. That means you're not responding to complaints, that means you're breaking contracts, that means you're not listening to your customers, answering your customers complaints," said Foster.
The BBB contacts the business with the failing grade to help remedy the problem. There are more than 5,300 businesses in and around Tucson with an A+ rating.
Foster says customers can always check with the BBB to make sure the business they are using has a good rating.
