The Museum of Contemporary Art Tucson named Carol Barnes, Tom Grogan, and Susan Stryker as the 2018 MOCA Local Geniuses.
The award honors visionary Tucsonans whose activities have a global impact.
All three are professors or associate professors at the University of Arizona.
Their work includes brain changes during the aging process, cancer studies, and gender studies.
The local genius awards will be given at MOCA's Gala in April 2018.
