A vigil will be held at Cienega High School Thursday night after a string of recent tragedies in the Vail community.

The vigil was organized by a coalition of about 30 religious leaders in the Vail area according to Darcy Mentone with the Vail School District.

The original idea came from Jeff Logsdon who is the President of the Vail Chamber of Commerce.

The vigil will take place on the Cienega High School football field at 7:30 Thursday night.

Some of the tragedies include a Pantano High School student who died in a car crash on Houghton Road, 3 high school students who took their own lives, 2 house burned down by the Mulberry Fire, and the recent suspicious death of 13-year-old Jayden Glomb.
